Signs, Wonders, and Miracles

Welcome to the website for New Wine Ministry, a ministry of signs, wonders, and miracles birthed in 1997 to encourage believers in Christ to live by the “ministry of the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:8). There is a form of godliness in much of the Church that lacks the power of Holy Spirit, instead depending on human wisdom and effort. Believers need to get off a treadmill of trying to do what is only accomplished by the Spirit of God in the name of Jesus. Only that done by the Spirit has enduring value in the eyes of God as told by Solomon: “I know that whatsoever God does, it shall be forever: nothing can be added to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God does it, that men should fear before Him” (Ecclesiastes 3:14).

The author of material on this web site was born in 1933 in the same hospital where he later lived and worked as a student at Northwestern University Medical School. After graduation, further training and military service, he served as the director of research in radiation oncology at the National Cancer Institute located in Bethesda, Maryland for fourteen years. He then entered practice in St Petersburg, Florida in 1978 to pioneer the first county cancer center and remained in private practice until 1997  when called by the Great Physician to leave medical practice and serve as a volunteer chaplain in correctional institutions including the Pinellas county jail.

Baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1988, Ralph began to pray for patients with serious illnesses such as advanced cancer, trauma-induced coma, paralysis and blindness. Healings took place without medical intervention, and a certified dead man whose death was caused by total liver and kidney failure was raised to healthy life in the name of Jesus Christ by the power of Holy Spirit. As news spread of these signs, wonders and miracles within the medical community, referral of patients sharply decreased because physicians objected to not having all patients receive ‘orthodox’ treatment. After a series of overseas missions as a medical missionary, Ralph was called into full-time ministry as a volunteer chaplain where the power of the Spirit continued to be manifested through his life.

During thirteen years of service in correctional institutions, six books were written and are now available for free reading on this website. Several were used overseas in Africa and India in training pastors in bible schools or seminary. In 2007, a Doctor of Divinity was conferred by a bible school and seminary in India in recognition of his contributions. An autobiographical book Hooked on Hope, describes remarkable experiences that led to retirement from medical practice to a new career. The New Wine Ministry has been founded upon Jesus’ command to not preach any gospel, but the “gospel of the kingdom.”  A new book, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done dedicated to this subject was published by a subsidiary of Thomas Nelson in December, 2015 and is available through Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

This book presents five steps for entering the kingdom of heaven to reign together with Christ and experience the presence, authority and power of God (John 3:5). In addition to signs, wonders and miracles, Jesus directly relates expelling of devils by the Spirit of God to the coming of the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 12:28), and is a reason Paul refers to the new covenant as the ministry of the Spirit. Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done is in part an autopsy on dying if not dead churches in our land and focuses on the restoration of biblical Spirit-anointed ministry along with personal experiences of the author. It is fervently prayed God will place the book in the hands of many having an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches so believers can move in the authority and power of Christ as did the early disciples.
